We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Production Shift Manager to lead site operations, drive performance, and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency. 🔎 The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing production operations, leading your team, and ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently, and in line with all quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and promote a strong Health & Safety culture

Deliver and exceed site KPIs set by the Site Manager

Plan production to minimise waste, maximise throughput and meet customer dispatch deadlines

Drive product quality, integrity and full traceability standards
-
Work closely with Engineering to improve productivity and reduce downtime

Manage stock levels for raw materials and packaging
-
Ensure the site remains audit-ready at all times

Lead internal HSE and Technical audits
-
Conduct risk assessments and accident investigations
-
Manage headcount in line with wage budgets
-
Conduct performance reviews and support team development
-
Identify training needs to ensure legal and operational compliance
-
Chair team briefings and engagement meetings
-
Take full site responsibility in the absence of the Site Manager
This role requires a strong focus on continuous improvement, people leadership and operational excellence.
✅ What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG production leadership role
-
Strong understanding of HACCP, Food Safety and Health & Safety legislation

Experience managing KPIs, production planning and labour budgets
-
Confident leading audits and maintaining audit-ready standards

A proactive leader who drives a “Right First Time” culture

Strong communication and team development skills
